CCSU Hosting Closing Reception for ‘Impermanence’ Exhibit by Artist Traé Brooks

A closing reception is planned at Central Connecticut State University’s S.T. Cheng Fine Arts Center for Windsor artist Traé Brooks’ exhibit, ‘Impermanence.’

The event is to be April 4, 2024, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

“The artist will discuss his exhibition during the reception at 4:30 p.m. at the S.T. Cheng Fine Arts Center of Maloney Hall,” CCSU says. “Refreshments and hors d’oeuvres will be served.”

CCSU says that Brooks,

uses sculpture, painting, and found materials to preserve the histories of people, places, and memories. Brooks acknowledges the stories behind each piece and their enduring impact, which become a part of his own story. Brooks earned his BFA in Painting from the Hartford Art School at the University of Hartford in 2019. He is a year-long artist-in-residence at the Steel Yard in Providence, R.I.

“All are welcome!” CCSU says.
