NBMAA will host its 10th annual Halloween bash, Museum After Dark, this Friday October 28th!

New Britain, Conn., October 17, 2016—Dare to scare at Connecticut’s most spooktacular party of the year: New Britain Museum of American Art’s Museum After Dark: 10th Annual Halloween Bash on Friday, October 28, starting at 8 p.m. Haunt the Museum’s galleries and special exhibitions in your best costume while dancing to tracks spun by DJ zErp and DJ Jon Eastman, enjoying drinks with friends, and hanging out in a creative environment.

There will be a contest to determine the Best Overall, Best Couples, Most Original, Most Scandalous, and Scariest costume—winners will be announced at 10 p.m. (costumes should not exceed more than 12 inches in any direction). Or, if you’re unsure about wmad-museum-halloween-2hat to wear this year, let award-winning beauty collective Tainted Inc. transform you into a creature of fantasy, horror, heroism, or more.  Also, don’t miss author Beth Caruso’s chilling storytelling of her non-fictional novel One of Windsor: America’s First Witch Hanging, the tale of Alice Young, a woman hung for witchcraft in Windsor, CT.

Local food trucks Hardcore Sweet Cupcakes and Taco Tequila Food Truck will line Lexington Street, to provide guests with bites available for purchase.  Admission is $20 for Members and $30 for non-Members and includes entrance to our galleries and special exhibitions, beer, wine, snacks, soft drinks, and entertainment. Cocktails will be served at a cash bar for $5.
