League of Women Voters to Hold Forum on Watershed Mining Proposal

The New Britain Area League of Women Voters is holding a forum to discuss the proposal of Mayor Erin Stewart (R) to allow mining on New Britain’s drinking watershed land.

The League of Women Voters said, in a statement that, “The New Britain Area League of Women Voters is presenting a forum on the geology and hydrology (rocks and water for those of us non-scientist people) of Bradley Mountain. We will also hear a review of the proposal from Tilcon to acquire new land in the area, mine it and eventually return it in the form of a reservoir to New Britain.”

This forum is Monday, November 14 at 7:00 pm at Trinity on Main at 69 Main Street. There is no charge and all are welcome.
