Jr. Canes football is part of the New Britain Hurricanes Youth Football & Cheerleading organization. As its Facebook page says, “The primary goal of the New Britain Jr Hurricanes Youth Football and Cheerleading program is to develop young men and women; who, through participation in the program, will naturally progress into the New Britain High School Football and Cheerleading program; creating a feeder system for football and cheerleading that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors as well as fundamentally sound football players and cheerleaders.”
