RACE IN THE PARK 2017 Participants Can Enjoy Discounted Tickets at the New Britain Bees Games on RACE Weekend!!!
The CT Breast Health Initiative (CT BHI) has teamed up with The New Britain Bees to offer a promotion that will give RACE IN THE PARK 2017 participants the chance to continue the fun even after the RACE event. The New Britain Bees are offering $6 discounted tickets to those who show their RACE registration bib during the games on May 13th at 6:35 p.m. and May 4th at 1:35 p.m. $1 of each discounted ticket will be donated directly back to CT Breast Health Initiative.
“Our partnership with the New Britain Bees allows any RACE IN THE PARK registered participant to continue enjoying the benefits of supporting our cause by offering them the opportunity to attend another great event right here in New Britain,” states CT Breast Health Initiative Board President Joyce Bray. “We have developed a symbiotic relationship with The Bees which I hope to grow with them and other supporters.”
The Connecticut Breast Health Initiative is a state-wide non-profit making a significant impact in the quest to find a cure for breast cancer by providing grants to support education and research exclusively in Connecticut. To date, CT BHI has awarded $3.4 million to fund important breast cancer research and education projects throughout the state. Thus far, they have funded 20 researchers at various Connecticut hospitals and organizations.
CT BHI’s RACE IN THE PARK takes place annually each May on the Saturday before Mother’s Day in New Britain’s historic Walnut Hill Park. Each year, thousands gather to participate in race day festivities and events while honoring survivors, remembering loved ones, celebrating life and most importantly, raising much needed funds to advance the fight against breast cancer in Connecticut. Those who wish to participate in RACE IN THE PARK 2017 can register in person on May 12th 12:00 p.m.– 6:00 p.m. and on May 13th starting at 6:30 a.m. in the park.
