The 25th Annual Osgood Shootout basketball tournament is underway at New Britain High School. The two day tournament’s final rounds will be played tomorrow, Sunday, August 20, 2017.
“Come out and enjoy some food, music and old friends,” said tournament’s Director Darwin Shaw. “Admission to all games is free.”
The High School Division semifinal games will begin at 11:30am tomorrow, while the Open Division’s semifinals will begin at 2:00pm. The Championship Games are scheduled for 4:30pm.
The 2017 Osgood Shootout basketball tournament marks the 25th anniversary of the venerable New Britain event. The tournament, “New England’s Biggest Summer Men’s Basketball Tournament,” has long been known for spirited competition and for bringing the community together. The tournament raises funds for scholarships.
