4-H Program for Kids at Hungerford Park Runs from Oct to Jun
There will be a 4-H program for kids at the New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park. The program will be on the third Tuesday of each month, from October to June.
The programs run from 3:45pm to 4:45pm.
“Does your child love animals and nature?” asks the Museum. “Do you want to get them involved in an exciting hands-on program?”
The program, for children, grades 3 through 8, is designed to provide, “youth development through connecting participants with the natural world in which they live.”
The Museum says that the program includes, “caring for our resident farm animals, gardening, trail maintenance, and environmental stewardship.”
The Museum says that pre-registration is required, with applications available at Hungerford Park, but that there is no fee for the program.
“This program is run in collaboration with the 4-H Youth Development Program, which is part of the University of CT Cooperative Extension,” says the Museum.
The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is located at 191 Farmington Avenue in Berlin and its phone number is (860) 827-9064.
