New Britain Youth Theater Announces Auditions for “The Gnome”
The New Britain Youth Theater has announced that it will hold auditions for the play, “The Gnome” on January 15th and 17th, 2018.
The Museum says that “The Gnome” is a story, “Based on a lesser known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm, and adapted by the writers of NBYT’s Unlocked and Penny and the Pirates,” that, “tells the story of three princesses, three knights in armor, a five-headed dragon, a king and queen, a jester, and a gnome named Gnathan who causes hilarious mischief for them all!”
The auditions will be for young actors, aged six to twelve, and will start at 6:00pm on each of the rehearsal days. The Theater says that children thirteen years old and over may by involved in helping backstage.
The January 15th audition will be at the New Britain-Berlin YMCA Program Center at 362 Main Street in Berlin.
The January 17th auditions will be held at Holmes Elementary School at 2150 Stanley Street.
Rehearsals for the play are to be on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm. The play will be performed on April 20th, 21st and 22nd at Holmes Elementary School.
The Theater says that, “There is no cost to audition. Those cast will register and be asked to pay a participation fee of $150 after casting, but partial financial waivers and payment scheduling are available.”
