Republicans Re-Nominate Petit in 22nd District
Republican State Rep. William A. Petit, Jr. (R-22) has been nominated for re-election by the Republicans from Plainville and a portion of New Britain.
“It continues to be an honor serving as your state representative,” Petit said. “I want to help CT’s economy thrive again and build a future that all of us can afford.”
The Twenty-Second District Republican Convention was held at the Plainville Town Hall.
The Twenty-Second Assembly District includes all of Plainville and section of the north-west part of New Britain.
In accepting his party’s nomination, Petit highlighted his legislative priorities, focusing on budget cuts and government privatization. He says that he hopes to continue serving on the legislative Appropriations, Public Health and Commerce committees and contributing to the Fire and EMS, Tourism, Manufacturing and Biotechnology caucuses
Dr. Petit and his wife, Christine, have a 4 year-old son, William III. He is President of the Petit Family Foundation, Chairman of the Hayley’s Hope and Michaela’s Miracle MS Memorial Fund, Board member of the Plainville Sports Hall of Fame Committee and is a new member of the Elizabeth Norton Trust Fund.
