100 Year Anniversary of Nathan Hale School and Apartments
One hundred years ago, the Nathan Hale Junior Hale School was built on Tremont Street. Over the years, generations of New Britain residents attended school in the historic building.
On June 15, 2018, the one-hundredth anniversary of the building, now an apartment building, was celebrated by its residents and owners.
Residents shared the outdoor event, while vendors served different kinds of food to celebrate the milestone.
Nathan Hale Apartments and the building’s owner, Picerne Real Estate Group, were presented with a legislative citation by State Sen. Terry Gerratana (D-6) offering congratulations on the occasion and recognizing the one hundred year history of the building.
Picerne owns the Nathan Hale Apartments, located at 55 Tremont Street, and the Burritt School Apartments on North Street, also a former school building.
The Nathan Hale Apartments says its apartments offer residents:
- “24/7 Professional On-Call Maintenance
- State of the Art Fitness Center
- Easy access to Shopping and Dining
- Easy access to Highways and Public transportation
- Laundry Facilities on site
- Ample Parking
- Beautiful Landscaping
- On-Site Resident Service Coordinator
- Planned Resident Activities”
The historic Nathan Hale School apartment building is a part of the North Oak neighborhood.
