The New Britain Hurricanes Youth Football & Cheer (NBYFC) has announced that its last full registration for the 2018 fall season will be on July 12th.
The final full registration for football and cheerleading programs will be from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, and will be held at the Smith School on Rutherford Street.
“Limited Spots Left,” NBYFC said on its Facebook page.
Tackle football is available for kids aged eight, twelve and thirteen. Cheerleading is available for kids aged nine to twelve.
Flag football and tiny cheer are available for children four to seven years old.
NBYFC says that children need to fall within the age ranges prior to July 31, 2018.
“Season Begins July 23rd!,” said NBYFC on Facebook.
NBYFC says that, for registration, documents that are needed are,
- An original, “Medical Consent form signed and stamped by a doctor (NOT BLUE Physical Form)”
- An original birth certificate
- An original,”June issued Report Card”
- Health insurance information
A medical clearance form is available on the NBYFC website.
Fees for football and cheerleading are $150, while fees for flag football and tiny cheer are $25.
In addition, NBYFC says that there is a , “Mandatory PreRaffle Fundraiser.” “All participants will be required to sell 10 raffle tickets as part of our annual fundraiser (or pay an opt-out at registration). Must be handed in before receiving equipment.”

New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed to provide children living in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports. The primary goal is to develop young men and women; who through participation in the program; will progress into New Britain High School football and cheerleading program creating a feeder system that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors as well as fundamentally sound athletes.
The program provides selected athletic activities for children ages 4 through 13 in grades Pre-K through middle school. We have won conference, state, and regional championships for the past 7 years and have earned the right to compete in Florida at the AYF National tournament! We hope to take the title again this year.
New Britain Hurricanes Youth Football and Cheerleading is a part of the Connecticut Youth Football and Cheer Conference, which is affiliated with American Youth Football (AYF).
