The 2018 Osgood Shootout Basketball Tournament got underway, Saturday, August 18th, with hundreds in attendance.
People watched the games as the Tournament progressed, enjoyed food and and shared in conversation.
Both of the Tournament’s two divisions, high school and open, held their opening rounds of play on Saturday. Semi-final and Championship games will be held on Sunday, August 19th.
The first semi-final game in the high school division will be held at 11:30am, while the other will be held at 12:45am. The high school division’s Championship game will be at 4:30pm.
The first open division semi-final game will be at 2:00pm and the other will be at 3:15pm. The Championship game in the open division will be at 5:45pm.
The Tournament, “New England’s Biggest Summer Men’s Basketball Tournament,” has long been known for spirited competition and for bringing the community together.
The single-elimination tournament, which raises funds for scholarships, is held at New Britain High School.
The six 2018 scholarship recipients were recently announced.
