“Bat Boy: The Musical” Opens at CT Theater Company, Sep 21st
The Connecticut Theater Company will bring to life an odd story straight out of the tabloid, “The Weekly World News,” in its production of, “Bat Boy: The Musical.”
The play will open on September 21, 2018 at the The Repertory Theatre of New Britain. It will continue until October 14th.
The Connecticut Theater Company says that the play, “is a musical comedy/horror show about a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia.”
“For lack of a better solution,” the Theater says, “the local sheriff brings Bat Boy to the home of the town veterinarian, Dr. Parker, where he is eventually accepted as a member of the family and taught to act like a ‘normal’ boy by the veterinarian’s wife, Meredith, and teenage daughter, Shelley.”
Amidst a secret hatred of Bat Boy by Dr. Parker and a burgeoning love with Shelley, the story turns on revelation of the, “shocking story of Bat Boy’s unholy origin.”
Adam Tortorello stars in the title role, while Erin Campbell plays Meredith Parker, Duane Campbell plays Thomas Parker and Kennedy Morris plays Shelley Parker.
Other members of the cast include, Rob Crumb, Nick Carrano, Jonathan Kelly, Isabelle Lewis, Melissa Rostkoski, Zoe Dominy-Nguyen, Cassandra Crumb and Hannah Rubitz.
