Pathways/Senderos Walkathon September 30th

The Pathways/Senderos Center will hold its Twentieth Annual Walkathon on Sunday, September 30, 2018.

The event supports the work of the Pathways/Senderos Center.

Walnut Hill Park

“For 20 years, this event has been our biggest fundraiser of the year,” the Center says. “We hope to make this the biggest one ever.”

Registration for the 2018 Walkathon will begin at 9:30am in Walnut Hill Park behind the bandshell. Registration for the event is $20. There are raffle tickets also available for $5.

According to the Pathways/Senderos Center ‘s website, its mission is to, “eliminate teen pregnancy by addressing its root causes, assuring high school graduation, and promoting adult self-sufficiency.”

Pathways/Senderos provides services to youth in the New Britain community, including academic assistance, career preparation, family life and sex education, violence prevention, recreation and sports and self-esteem enhancement.

The Center has announced that the first one hundred people registering for the Walkaton will receive a colorful Walkathon t-shirt.

Center has also announced that the American Savings Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor for the event. Platinum Sponsors are The Petit Family Foundation, Starling Physicians, P.C., New Britain OB/GYN Group, P.C. and Sue and Bill Sonstrom.

The Center has announced that the event’s Silver Sponsors are Farmington Bank, MicroCare Corporation, the Community Foundation of Greater New Britain, the Harris Family and Bob Farr and Diana MacPherson.
