Jr Canes Fundraise for Championship Travel
New Britain Youth Football and Cheerleading is hosting a fundraiser on November 24th to send the State Champion 10U Jr Canes Football Team to the upcoming national championships in Florida.
New Britain Youth Football and Cheerleading (NBYFC) is celebrating the 10U division Jr. Canes winning the 2018 Connecticut Youth Football and Cheer Conference Championship on November 4th.
According to the NBYFC Facebook page, the 10U team won their Championship game 28 to 12 against the Bridgeport Chargers.
The Jr. Canes are also celebrating State Second Place State Championships in the 11U and 12U divisions, as well as the Second Place Conference Championship by the Jr. Canes Cheerleaders.
On November 24, 2018, NBYFC will hold a fundraising event to raise money for the 10U team’s travel to the American Youth Football National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida.
The event will be at the Pride of Connecticut Elks Lodge at 24 Elm Street. It will be held from 6:00pm to 12:00am, with food and music.
Admission to the event is $10. There will also be raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle.
A GoFundMe page has also been set up to raise money, “to cover travel accommodations and meals,” for the team’s travel.

As 8yrs to 10yrs undefeated seasons, 2016 Bowl Champions, 2016 All-star Champions, 2017 and 2018 CTYFC State Champions, and now heading to compete at the 2018 National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida!! We are so proud of our boys!!

New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc. is a not for profit organization formed to provide children living in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports. The primary goal is to develop young men and women; who through participation in the program; will progress into New Britain High School football and cheerleading program creating a feeder system that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors as well as fundamentally sound athletes.
