Access Health CT has announced that open enrollment for the health coverage it offers is available in New Britain during its current open enrollment period.
“Access Health CT will be offering free in-person help around the state with seven enrollment centers and six fairs throughout Connecticut,” said Lt. Governor Wyman Chair of the Access Health CT Board of Directors.
Access Health CT (AHCT) is the state’s official health exchange under the federal Affordable Care Act, commonly known as “Obamacare.”
The current Access Health CT open enrollment period began on November 1, 2018 and continues through December 15th.
AHCT says that, “Connecticut residents can buy or renew health insurance plans on the exchange from November 1 to December 15, 2018, with their coverage starting on January 1, 2019.”
The health care open enrollment in New Britain is being held at Trinity-On-Main at 69 Main Street. It is open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm.
We are here to help,” said Access Health CT Chief Executive Officer, James Michel. “If you need help enrolling or re-enrolling for health insurance, we have many people who will help you.”
“In addition, there are hundreds of brokers who can help residents by recommending a plan,” added Lt. Governor Wyman. “And as a reminder, financial help is still available and only through AHCT.”
AHCT reports that, in its open enrollment for 2019, enrollment in Qualified Health Plans was 101,054 as of November 30, 2018, and that it had processed 23,547 applications/redeterminations for Medicaid.
