NBYT Announces Auditions for Charlotte’s Web
No Boundaries Youth Theater (NBYT) has announced that it will be holding auditions for young actors for its production of Charlotte’s Web.
Charlotte’s Web is a beloved children’s book by E.B. White, which the Theater describes as, “a heartwarming tale of friendship, loyalty, and sacrifice about a runt pig whose life is saved by a girl named Fern and then by a very special spider named Charlotte.”
The Theater says that, “NBYT’s non-musical production will be staged in the book’s original setting— New England in the early 1950s—and a chorus of storytellers will bring the famous barn cellar and an old-time country fair to life.”
Children ages six to fourteen date will be able to audition for parts in the play. The Theater says that, “All levels of experience are welcome.”
Auditions will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 and Wednesday, January 16th at 6:00pm on both evenings. The auditions will be held at the Holmes Elementary School at 2150 Stanley Street.
The play will be performed at the Holmes School on May 3rd, 4th and 5th.
The Theater says that scheduled auditions are preferred, but that, “walk-ins are welcome.” Auditions can be scheduled by visiting the Theater’s website at www.nbyt.org, by emailing to [email protected] or by calling 860-515-8115. “Those cast,” the Theater says, “will be asked to pay a participation fee of $150 but partial financial waivers and payment scheduling are available.”
Later in January, the Theater is also beginning its new term of acting classes and homeschool programs. The Theater has different programs for different ages, teaching drama, improv and other acting and performance skills. The Theater has more information about these programs on its website at www.nbyt.org.
