Town Hall on Economy and Housing Planned
The New Britain Branch of the NAACP and the Black Democratic Club of New Britain have will be hosting a Town Hall meeting to discuss economic development and housing.
The meeting is the second in a series of Town Hall meetings for Black History Month that the two organizations are hosting in February.
The Town Hall meeting series is being organized under the theme, “Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community.”
The Town Hall meeting on economic development and housing will be held on February 8, 2019. It will be held at Bethesda Apostolic Church, which is at 249 Stanley Street. The program will go from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
On February 1st, the NAACP and Black Democrats held the first meeting in the series one the subject of education.
The next Town Hall after the economic development and housing meeting will be on February 15th. This Town Hall meeting will be held to discuss criminal justice issues. It will be at the St. James Baptist Church at 45 Daly Avenue.
The final Town Hall meeting in the planned series is to be on February 22nd on health care, Social Security and Medicare. Its location is to be determined.
