Maple Sugaring and Pancakes at Hungerford Youth Museum
The New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is hosting a “Pancake Breakfast and Maple Sugaring Weekend.
The Museum promises, “All the pancakes you can eat and pure maple syrup,” adding, “A beverage and sausage are included.”
The event is planned for two days, Saturday, March 9, 2019 and Sunday, March 10th. It is to be held from 8:00am to 12:00pm on both days.
“Watch the syrup making process from start to finish,” says the Museum. “Walk through our maple grove to see how syrup is made. Compare sap, syrup and store bought “maple syrup.'”
Admission is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children aged two to eleven. The price for Museum members is $8.00 and for member children is $5.00. Children under two are admitted free.
On its website, the New Britain Youth Museum says that the Hungerford Park Nature Center, “offers educational programming, exhibits and special events that relate to environmental education, biological and animal sciences, and STEM.” The Museum adds that the Nature Center, “maintains 27 acres of guided woodland and interpretive gardens that support a variety of native and cultivated plant species.”
New Britain Youth Museum at Hungerford Park is located at 191 Farmington Avenue in Kensington.
