NHS Plans 40th Anniversary Celebration
Neighborhood Housing Services of New Britain has announced that it is hosting a celebration event for the housing organization’s fortieth anniversary.
“Join us for a wonderful celebration of 40 years of providing homes for our neighbors,” say the organization . “We will be looking ahead as well as back.”
The Fortieth Anniversary Celebration will be on April 4, 2019, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm.
Neighborhood Housing Services (NHS) will present awards at the event to Joey Listro, Elaine Lechowicz, Manny Sandoval, Rosa Rivera and schools superintendent Nancy Sarra.
“There will be drinks and appetizers reflecting the mix of cultures of our community, live jazz, a short video, awards, door prizes, and a chance to enjoy great company at Trinity-on-Main,” NHS says.
The event will be held at Trinity-On-Main at 69 Main Street.
Tickets to the event are $40, and are available online at the event website. NHS says, “Buy a pair of tickets on this site and receive our thanks with a $5 price reduction from $80 to $75. We will give you a $5 refund in cash at the event.”
Tickets are also available at the NHS office at 223 Broad Street or by calling 860-224-2433. NHS says that it accepts payments by mail.

Since our incorporation on December 5, 1978, it has been the purpose of Neighborhood Housing Services of New Britain, Inc., to ensure that low and moderate-income residents of New Britain and the Central Connecticut region have access to affordable housing in strong neighborhoods of their choice.
The non-profit organization says it, “has been providing financial assistance, technical support, and housing-related services to neighborhoods in New Britain and Central Connecticut for 38 years.”
