Final Performance of HITW “Film Noir” Macbeth
The final performance in the Hole in the Wall Theater‘s presentation of a “film noir” interpretation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth is Saturday evening.
The Theater has said that,
Keeping most of the original dialogue, we set the stage in the gritty, black-and-white, world of film noir as we follow Macbeth, prophesied by three witches to be king of Scotland. His path to the throne is a dark one, however, as what lays ahead of him includes betrayal, murder, and madness.
The last of nine performances of the play will be April 6, 2019 at 8:00pm.
Tickets purchased at the door are $20, with a rate of $15 for students and seniors sixty-two years and older. Tickets can be purchased online at the Theater’s online box office for $17 general admission and $12 for students and seniors. Tickets, payable at the door, can also the reserved by calling 860-229-3049. The Theater says an ID is needed for the student and senior rates.
The Theater says that, “Patrons are encouraged to park in the parking garage (which becomes free after 5 pm) on Chestnut Street, next door to the New Britain police station.”
Hole in the Wall Theater is located at 116 Main Street.
