The North-Oak NRZ teamed up with EbLens for a “Spark the Park” springtime neighborhood clean up at the Willow Street Park.

People pitched-in on April 6, 2019 to clean up garbage and paint over graffiti on the building at the park. Congresswoman Jahana Hayes (D-5) joined in the clean-up effort.

The Clothing store chain EbLens, earlier had announced, “the launch of EbLens’ Spark the Park initiative happening in the city where EbLens started 70 years ago: New Britain!”

“This is our opportunity to give back to the community that has given us so much over the last 70 years,” EbLen’s said.

The North-Oak Neighborhood Revitalization Zone, with activist leadership and members, have organized many volunteer neighborhood clean-up activities, working with other local organizations and the city.
