North-Oak NRZ Neighborhood Clean-Up May 18th
Due to expected rain, the North-Oak NRZ is postponing its planned neighborhood clean-up to May 18, 2019. The clean-up had been planned for May 4th.
The clean-up event will be Saturday, May 18, 2019, as neigborhood volunteers continue their longstanding activist efforts to improve quality of life in the area.
The clean-up will be held from 9:00am to 12:00pm. A free continental breakfast will be served before the clean-up activity. The breakfast will be from 8:30am to 9:00am.
Those participating in the clean-up will gather at the neighborhood Police Substation at 99 Oak Street.
The North-Oak Neighborhood Revitalization Zone, with activist leadership and members, have organized many volunteer neighborhood clean-up activities.
The May 18th event is being held in collaboration with New Britain Neighborhood Housing Services, Central Connecticut State University, New Britain ROOTS, the New Britain Fire Department, the New Britain Police Department, the Human Resources Agency of New Britain, the New Britain Bees and the city.
The North Oak NRZ is a community organization, formed under state law, that is committed to the social and economic progress in the North-Oak neighborhood.
