Sanchez Hosts State Black & Puerto Rican Caucus Town Hall
Rep. Bobby Sanchez (D-25) hosted a town hall meeting of the state legislative Black and Puerto Rican Caucus at the Human Resources Agency of New Britain.
Dozens of people came to the Saturday morning meeting to hear about issues pending at the State Capitol.
Sanchez was joined by legislators, including, Rep. Brandon McGee (D-5), Jr., Rep. Robin Porter (D-94), Rep. Geraldo Reyes (D-75), Rep. Hilda Santiago (D-84), Rep. Edwin Vargas (D-6).
A number of City Council members attended the forum, including Al.d Richard Reyes (D-AL), Ald. Iris Sanchez (D-3), Ald. Kristian Rosado (R-2) and Ald. Daniel Salerno (R-AL).
The legislative Black and Puerto Rican Caucus consists of African American and Latino members of the state legislature and works to develop and advance policies that, “improve the living, housing, working, health, educational and economic conditions of African and Latino Americans.”
The town hall meeting was held on May 4, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
