Diaspora Plans Multicultural Festival
The Diaspora Multicultural Society has announced that it is hosting its Second Annual Multicultural Festival with food, live performances and vendors.
The 2019 Festival will be held on Saturday, September 14th.
The Festival, held at Diaspora Multicultural Society, will be from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
The Diaspora Society says that, “Last year’s festival was well attended and featured performances from local staples such as Bomba Ashé as well as the global influence of the internationally renowned Destiny Africa Choir from Uganda.”
“The festival further serves Diaspora’s mission of bringing together a diverse crowd to commingle and build community,” the Society says. “Attendees will get to celebrate, participate in, and experience our community’s rich diversity.”
The Society says that,
Diaspora is the first social club of its kind. Our focus is specifically on multiculturalism and bringing a diverse crowd together to commingle and build community. We respect and value the fact that our differences add spice to our lives.
The Diaspora Multicultural Society is located at 90 John Street.
