North-Oak NRZ President Responds to Letter Calling for Resignation

Editor’s note: On July 23, 2019, the New Britain Progressive published a letter, “North-Oak Board Members Call on President to Resign“. The following is a statement released by the Secretary of the North-Oak NRZ in response:

By the North Oak NRZ and President:

Please refer to the city ordinance regarding the chapter of the North-Oak NRZ also see the Connecticut state statute of the Office Policy Management (OPM) which does not recognize the vice president, the housing chair, nor humanities. This is an attempt by a failed vice president deemed because of her incompetency with the North Oak NRZ and over two years of inability to resolve or have anything to do with the improvements of the neighborhood. This behavior as shown to be retaliation by these three individuals which is not consistent to the entire executive board in which is made up of total of seven and is consistent with their ongoing intent to sabotage the North-Oak NRZ.

Furthermore the Republican Erin Stewart’s agenda of not to be held accountable for the neglect and abuse of the North-Oak NRZ area, please refer to investigating this claim prior to posting each claims has response of “no further comment”.

There’s a pending conflict of interest with vice president Marie Bachand that has been addressed to her being that she is currently serving on two executive boards, one being the North-Oak NRZ and the other being the New Britain Neighborhood Housing Services. The Neighborhood Housing Services is a stakeholder within the North Oak NRZ and creates a conflict of interest for the vice president and Ms. Bachand she has been notified that she has been suspended regarding her conflict of interest in being on two executive boards with one being a stakeholder invested in their interest.

Please reference in where it does not required me to hold any Executive Board meeting and requiring any such vote by the board? (Bi-laws attached)

Please reference the Conn State Statue, Find In where the OPM of the state recognizes any of the sub chairs or any of their authority? https://www.cga.ct.gov/current/pub/chap_118.htm

Regards,

North Oak NRZ
