The expected closing of Marshalls in NewBrite Plaza became very real as the large sign of one of the plaza’s anchors came down.
Crews could be seen dismantling the large blue sign of a large clothing store that served the residents in New Britain for years.
NewBrite Plaza is one of the busiest shopping areas in New Britain and is local to the downtown, Broad Street and North-Oak neighborhoods.
Residents arriving after the store sign was removed could be seen expressing consternation at the store’s closing.
