Diaspora Empowerment Series To Discuss Urban Education
The Diaspora Multicultural Society will focus its next First Fridays Empowerment Series event on the subject of Urban Education.
The civic organization says that the the September 2019 installment of its monthly First Fridays Empowerment Series will be on the topic of “Urban Education: Issues to Solutions.”
Discussing the monthly event, Diaspora says,
Join us on the first Friday of every month for our 2019 Empowerment Series. We will bring you relevant topics in various formats from film viewings to discussion panels – all with the purpose of bringing a diverse crowd together for dialogue and building community.
The latest First Fridays Empowerment Series event is planned for September 6, 2019. It is to be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Society.
The Diaspora Society says that,
Diaspora is the first social club of its kind. Our focus is specifically on multiculturalism and bringing a diverse crowd together to commingle and build community. We respect and value the fact that our differences add spice to our lives.
The Diaspora Society is also preparing for its upcoming Multicultural Festival. The second annual Festival is planned for Saturday, September 14th.
The Festival is to be held at the Society from 12:00pm to 8:00pm.
The Diaspora Multicultural Society is located at 90 John Street.
