The Haunting of Hill House at HITW
The Hole in the Wall Theater is getting us ready for the Halloween season with the premiere of its production of “The Haunting of Hill House.”
The Theater says that,
the story follows a small group of people looking to research the haunting rumors that surround the titular manor. The group soon find themselves at the mercy of whatever haunts the house in the dead of night and realize that trying to find proof of supernatural happenings will be the least of their worries.
John Bosco directs the play, which opens on Friday, September 27, 2019. The show is the first of the Theater’s 2019-2020 season. The play was written by Andrew Leslie. It is an adaption of a story by Shirley Jackson.
On the Theater’s website, Bosco writes that the play tells the story of, ” four paranormal investigators looking for what possibly prowls the supposedly haunted home. Little do they know, the specters have already found them, and may not let them go!” Bosco promises a, “a scary show with a cast ready to make you jump in your seats.”
The show’s cast includes Kuzco Gong as Eleanor Vance, Melanie Cox in the role of Theodora, Dr. Montague played by Hugh Tucker, Jordan Wassil as Luke Sanderson, Jennifer Tellier performing as Mrs. Dudley, Mary Roane as Mrs. Montague and Scott Hoffman playing Arthur Parker.
The show is produced by Luis Marrero and Kate Micari-Miller is the stage manager.

General admission tickets are $20. Tickets for students and seniors are $15. Tickets are available at the Theater’s online tickets web page. The Theater says that reservations can be made by calling 860-229-3049. “For phone reservations,” the Theater says, “please make sure to leave your name, the date of the performance, number and type of tickets (GA, student, or senior), phone number, as well as your email address so that we can send you a confirmation.”
The Theater also says that, “Tickets can also be purchased at the door on performance nights with cash or credit card.”
The Hole in the Wall Theater says that it, “has been a staple of the New Britain arts community for over 40 years. Through the hundreds of shows we’ve produced, our mission has always been to make theater accessible to everyone.”
