Diaspora Empowerment Series To Discuss “Shades of Hispanic Heritage”
The Diaspora Multicultural Society’s October edition of its First Fridays Empowerment Series is planned to discuss, “Shades of Hispanic Heritage.”
“Join us this Friday from 6-8 p.m.!” the Society says. “This month’s topic is Shades of Hispanic Heritage. It will be a gallery walk- style event with a bit of community discussion at the end. A different, interactive experience for our visitors!”
“Join us on the first Friday of every month for our 2019 Empowerment Series,” says the organization. “We will bring you relevant topics in various formats from film viewings to discussion panels – all with the purpose of bringing a diverse crowd together for dialogue and building community.”
The latest First Fridays Empowerment Series event is planned for October 4, 2019. It is to be from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Society.
The Diaspora Society says that,
Diaspora is the first social club of its kind. Our focus is specifically on multiculturalism and bringing a diverse crowd together to commingle and build community. We respect and value the fact that our differences add spice to our lives.
The Diaspora Society recently held its Second Annual Multicultural Festival on September 14th. The event brought members of the New Britain community together with live music, food and vendors.
The Diaspora Multicultural Society is located at 90 John Street. “Come visit Diaspora, a club with a purpose!” the Society says.
