Interfaith Alliance to Be Officially Launched
Leaders of different faiths will launch a new organization, the Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance, in New Britain next week.
“Imagine what life in our Greater Hartford region could be like if our religious institutions actually possessed the moral force to make it a more just and equitable place?” organizers say.
The new organization is to be, “an organization of congregations from across the region, dedicated to building political, economic and social power to create more just communities,” organizers say.
The meeting is planned for Monday, October 28th at 6:45pm. It will be held in Welte Auditorium on the campus of CCSU.
Organizers says that, in 2016, the Christian Activities Council in North Hartford began a process leading to the creation of the new organization. Organizers say, “Three years later, We are ready to launch the Greater Hartford Interfaith Action Alliance, including Jews, Muslims, Unitarian Universalists, Friends, and a vastly ecumenical group of Christians.”
“Will you be there on the 28th of October?, ” event organizers say. “We hope you will!!”
