HITW Performing “It’s a Wonderful Life”

As the holiday season draws nearer, Hole in the Wall Theater will be performing the popular classic story, It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Drama.

“Come and see the same heartwarming, holiday tale of George Bailey you’ve watched on the big screen brought to life on a stage right before you,” the Theater says.

John Bosco, writing on the Theater’s blog, writes that,

We’re getting into the Holiday spirit with our next show, Tony Palermo’s adaptation of a Christmas classic: It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Drama! Directed by Thom Ozimek, we’re taking a trip back in time to the 1940s as we present the story of George Bailey, a small-town guy with big dreams who just can’t seem to catch a break. With the help of wingless guardian angel, Clarence Oddbody, George gets a glimpse of what life would be like without him. Presented in the style of an old school radio drama, the stage becomes a radio station with actors and sound artists “broadcasting” the show.

The Theater adds that, “Reminiscent of a live radio show, including sound effects and all the classic characters you’ve come to love, this fun and nostalgic production is sure to delight audiences of all ages.”

The play opens on Friday, November 22, 2019 and runs through December 14th.
