A Unity in the Community Meal is being planned for Thanksgiving Day.

The event is being hosted by Reality Outreach, “in collaboration with many other amazing organizations and churches in the city to do a UNIFIED Dinner for the entire city.”

Organizers say that the coalition includes, “The Police Department, Fire Department, Salvation Army, Black Ministers Alliance, Another Chance Church, Peace Missionary Ministries’s and several other churches, Ruby’s Realm Production Company and many more.”

“Every year for the past 8 years Reality Outreach Inc. has taken the time to gladly cook Thanksgiving Dinner for the Community of the city of New Britain, Connecticut,” say event organizers about the event, “Hosted by our very own Backyard Ministry & Right Now Ministries, Inc.”

The event is to be on November 28, 2019, Thanksgiving Day, from 12:00pm to 9:00pm. It will be held at Right Now Ministries at 147 West Main Street.

Event organizers say,

we will have a huge variety of different ethnic foods provided by our neighbors and neighborhood vendors. Clothing (slightly used coats, hats, scarves etc…) Gift bags filled with hygiene products will be given to those who need. Blankets to the homeless, hair cuts for all who wants one, household products for cleaning, baby items-furniture, diapers for moms in need

Spots at the event are being reserved on the event’s Facebook site.

Organizers also add, “If you would like to volunteer your time and talents please contact Pastor Rosa Lee Smith-Hill or Reality Outreach INC. @860-452-2410, we’d be honored to have you.”

Reality Outreach also says that it is accepting donations on its website.
