Jr Canes Holding Social to Send Teams to Nationals

New Britain Youth Football and Cheer (NBYFC) is holding a “Dance and Football Social” to raise funds for its Championship teams to travel compete for national titles.

NBYFC, the official name of the Jr Canes organization, invites people to, “Join the Jr Canes 10U, 11U, and Dance 14U in a Celebration Social while helping to raise funds so they can travel to compete at the AYF National Championships in Kissimmee, Florida!!”

The event is to be tonight, November 29, 2019. The Social will be held from 5:00pm to 11:00pm at the VFW at 41 Veterans Drive.

Admission is for a $10 donation. The organization also says that tickets are available online.

The event is also to have raffle prizes and a 50/50 raffle.

Earlier NBYFC had announced that, “The Jr Canes Dance Team has competed and won both CTYFC Div 14 FIRST Place Champions and 1ST Place AYC CT STATE CHAMPIONS and are eligible to compete at the National Championships in Florida!”

NBYFC also announced that its 11U football team had won its way to the National Championships, saying that,

From age 8, age 9, age 10 and now age 11; Four Undefeated Seasons, Four  CTYFC State Champions, & All-Star Champions!! Not only are they recognized for their accomplishments but also for the community service through out internal and external communities!! These players have a bond that is more than family love!!

New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc., the official name of the Jr. Canes organization, has said that it is,

a not for profit organization formed to provide children living in the community the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sports. The primary goal is to develop young men and women; who through participation in the program; will progress into New Britain High School football and cheerleading program creating a feeder system that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors as well as fundamentally sound athletes.

The New Britain Jr. Canes is a part of the Connecticut Youth Football & Cheer League and American Youth Football.
