Human Rights Commission to Honor Martin Luther King
The city Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities will host an event honoring the birthday of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. this Monday.
The event is to be held on the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is January 20, 2020.
The Guest Keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Jackie Evans Phillips, who is the founder of the Life Changers Institute.
The event’s theme is to be, “Unifying Through Community Engagement.”
Light refreshments at the event is to begin at 11:00am, and the program is to start at 11:30am. It will be held at Smalley Elementary School. The school is located at 175 West Street.
The event is free and open to the public.
