NAACP Sponsors COVID-19 Hotline With Yale Health
The New Britain Branch of the NAACP has announced that it is sponsoring a hotline with Yale New Haven Health for information about the Coronavirus.
“The New Britain Chapter of the NAACP, in conjunction with Yale New Haven Health, is pleased to offer a public hotline on education and screening during this time of crisis,” announced the NAACP New Britain Branch.
The announcement was from the New Britain NAACP Health chair, Dr. Peggy Lampkin, and Ronald Davis, President of the NAACP New Britain branch.
“Please call 833-275-9644,” the NAACP announced, adding that the service is provided, “M-F from 7am – 7pm for any coronavirus questions.”
“We also ask that you get reliable information,” from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the Department of Health & Human Services, “instead of unreliable news from your computer or google,” the NAACP says.
The NAACP pointed out that, “CDC offers a COVID checklist for anyone with anxiety or concerns.”
“Please remember that, during this time of crisis, we must be well informed,” Lampkin and Davis said, “because we are all in this together.”
