The Jr. Canes have announced the results of the week 2 football games of its 2020 season, with three wins our of four games played.

All of the New Britain Jr. Canes’ second week games were against Hartford, with the 9U team having bye week.
- The 8U New Britain team win their game 20 to 13.
- The 11U Jr. Canes won 13 to 0.
- With a score of 18 to 6, the 12U team won their game.
- Hartford won in the 13U game, 0 to 39.
In the week 1 games last week, the Jr. Canes reported five wins for the New Britain teams.
- The 8U Jr. Canes won 21 to 6 against Waterbury.
- In a 27 to 0 game, the 9U Jr. Canes won against Tri City.
- The 11U team won against Waterbury, 35 to 7.
- The 12U team appears to have gotten the week 1 win by forfeit.
- The 13U team won their game against Waterbury 49 to 18.
The Jr. Canes organization has been limiting attendance at games to parents due to COVID-19 and has been strongly pressing for parents who do attend games to wear masks and keep social distancing.
New Britain Youth Football & Cheer, Inc., the official name of the Jr. Canes nonprofit organization, says that its,
primary goal is to develop our youth; who through participation in the program; creating a feeder system to New Britain High School that will focus on the student-athlete as a whole and produce successful community contributors.
