KIEDC Food Box Program Mar 24th at St. James
The Kingdom International Economic Development Corporation (KIEDC) food box program continues at Saint James Missionary Baptist Church in the North Oak neighborhood today, on March 24, 2021.
KIEDC has carried out the food box program on February 24th and March 10th. The planned third date is today, March 24th. The distribution times are to be from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Metashar Dillon, CEO of KIEDC announced earlier in March that the Farmers to Families Food Box Program was returning to serve the people in the North-Oak neighborhood. Saint James Missionary Baptist Church is hosting the program.
“The need for food has been overwhelming especially during the pandemic,” Nicole Rodriguez said earlier in March. “So many people and agencies that service the community are calling on us for help during this season.”
“We have received requests from many elderly, and single parents,” Rodriguez had said. “We need the community help to meet the needs of the children and the needs of the people.” Organizers said earlier in March that, “Since the onset of the pandemic KIEDC has fed 77,000 families,”
The February and March Food Box program is another in a series of food distribution efforts of KIEDC and St. James Church, including similar programs in October, November and December of 2020.
Organizers have said that donations to KIEDC, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, can be made at PayPal at paypal.me/kiedc or on Cash App at $KIEDC.
Saint James Missionary Baptist Church, where the distribution will be, is located at 45 Daly Avenue.
