NBYT to Hold Summer Shakespeare SLAM
The No Boundaries Youth Theater (NBYT) will perform scenes from well-known Shakespeare plays at its free presentation, “Shakespeare Slam.”
“Join No Boundaries Youth Theater on the beautiful patio of the New Britain Museum of American Art,” the youth theater organization says.
The Theater adds that the performance will include, “Scenes from MacBeth, Midsummer Night’s Dream, A Comedy of Errors & more! And Puppets! (Everybody LOVES Puppets).”
The free event is to be held on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 6:00pm and on Saturday, June 26th at 2:00pm.
Both performances are to be at the New Britain Museum of American Art, which is located at 56 Lexington Street.
“Donations are happily accepted,” NBYT says, “and will help continue our mission to bring exciting, innovative classes for area youth interested in performance and technical theater.” Its website has additional information for how to donate.

Founded in 2010 as New Britain Youth Theater and selected by Connecticut Magazine as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater in 2017, No Boundaries Youth Theater is a professionally-run community and educational theater for children and teens. The name change in 2018 reflects that NBYT is—and always has been—a youth theater that accepts children from all towns and communities, with all abilities, with all levels of experience, and to be involved in a variety of ways both onstage and off!
