North-Oak NRZ Planning Winter Clothing Drive
The weather may still be summer warm, but the North-Oak NRZ is thinking of those in need in the Winter, ahead.
Pastor Dana Smith, President of the Neighborhood Revitalization Zone (NRZ) in the North-Oak neighborhood, says that, “We are looking to get a early start on getting supplies for the cold weather ahead.”
Pastor Smith says that the NRZ is planning a Winter clothing drive to ask for people to donate coats, hats, gloves, scarfs, boots, hand warmers, thermal wear and more.
The NRZ, Pastor Smith says, is seeking community partners for the Winter clothing drive.
Pastor Smith says that those wishing to make donations can contact him at 860-371-8271, adding that, “all donations are appreciated.”
The NRZ plans to announce the more about details of where donations may be made and when the distribution is to be in the coming weeks.
“We will be taking donations starting now and all Winter,” Pastor Smith said.
The North-Oak NRZ is a community organization, formed under state law, that is organized to promote the social and economic progress in the North-Oak neighborhood.
