American Art Museum Plans Halloween Day Activities

The New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA) is planning a “Halloween Spooktacular” Community Day event.

“Kick-off Halloween at the NBMAA!” about its event on October 31, 2021.

Halloween is on a Sunday this year, and the Museum is planning activities for the holiday during the day.

The first activity is “slime making”, starting at 11:00am. The Museum says that there are four time slots at 11:00am, 11:30am, 12:00pm and 12:30pm. “Spaces limited,” the Museum says, “20 people max, $5 per person.”

From 11:00am to 2:00pm, the Museum says that there will be, “Caricatures by artist Matt Ryan in SWC.”

From 11:00am to 3:00pm, the Museum promises, “Adult Halloween Fun,” in the form of a, “Beer Grave Yard.”

At 1:00pm, YWCA Dance is to perform “Thriller.”

The Museum says that, at 2:00pm, there will be a, “Costume Parade and Contest outside on Museum grounds,” adding that, “Goodie bags will be available for all costume parade participants.”

Meanwhile there is to be, “Family Inside Out Tours,” from 12:00pm and 1:00pm for groups of ten.

“Visitors are encouraged to show off their best costumes and partake in some wicked fun,” the Museum says.

The Museum has a registration website for its “Halloween Spooktacular” activities.

The New Britain Museum of American Art is located at 56 Lexington Street, adjoining New Britain’s historic Walnut Hill Park.
