The Spott Unlimited Offers Weekly “Grab and Go” Food For Those In Need
The Spott Unlimited, Inc. offers a “Grab and Go” food program for those in need in the community, weekly at the Pride of Connecticut Elks.
Done as part of the the Spott Unlimited’s Recovery Support Assistants program, the organization organizes the preparation of food and distribution. The organization says that it created the “Grab and Go” meal program to address food insecurity in the community.
The “Grab and Go” meals, packaged in styrofoam containers are distributed weekly at the Pride of Connecticut Elks lodge at 24 Elm Street.
The distribution events are from 5:00pm to 6:00pm each Thursday.
The Spott Unlimited, Inc. says that the program not only provides for food needs, but also a Blessing Table, toiletries, socks, costs hats and gloves and other items, other services, and, “The Recovery Support Services Program will have a manned resource table available to respond to any questions that may be asked by, or for any individual or family needs and referrals.”

The Spott Unlimited, Inc. says it, “is a nonprofit recovery-based service gleaned from The Spottswood African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in New Britain, CT.” The organization announced a Recovery Support Services program in collaboration with Community Mental Health Affiliates, Inc. (CMHA) in April.
