The NAACP New Britain Branch #2006 is organizing adults to greet and encourage kids on the first day of school, August 31, 2022.
Ronald Perry Davis, President of the New Britain Branch NAACP, invites men and women, “to join us as we welcome Jefferson Elementary students into school on their first day of the school year.”
“The New Britain Branch NAACP will do what we do every year,” said Davis, calling on adults to join the NAACP, “to meet students at the Jefferson Elementary School,” including encouraging teachers, staff and administrators, “as we greet students to school as they walk into the building,” for the new school year.
“Our goal,” Davis said, “is to show support to administrators, staff and students at the beginning of the school year in partnership, the school and our community.”
The event is to begin at 8:30am on August 31, 2022. It is to be at Jefferson Elementary School at 140 Horseplain Road.
“The Village support goes to our children,” said Davis.
