“A Christmas Carol” to be Performed by Connecticut Theatre Company
New Britain’s Connecticut Theatre Company is to perform a theatrical production of Charles Dickens’ classic tale “A Christmas Carol.”
The Theatre says, in the traditionally told holiday story, “Ebenezer Scrooge is a prosperous curmudgeon who believes that personal wealth is far more valuable than the happiness and comfort of others.”
But thanks to the guidance of three ghosts that visit him, the Theatre says, “Scrooge recognizes his faults and greets Christmas morning with a cheerful ‘Happy Christmas’ before spending the day reconnecting and sharing love with those that mean the most to him.”
The production opens on December 2, 2022.
Tickets are available for the play on the Theatre’s Box Office web page.
The Connecticut Theatre Company says it, “was formed in 2013 by the members and directors of two local community theatre groups, Bristol Theatre Arts and the New Britain Repertory Theatre group.”
Saying that it is, “a 100% volunteer-based organization,” the Theatre says it, “is a performing arts group that is dedicated to entertaining, educating and supporting our community.”
“While all theatres are based around performing arts, Connecticut Theatre Company is dedicated to finding and pursuing opportunities to partner with other entities for the betterment of the community,” the Theatre says.
The Connecticut Theatre Company is located at the The Repertory Theatre in New Britain at 23 Norden Street.
