Republicans Endorse Stewart and Slate for City Offices
Republican incumbent Mayor Erin Stewart received the endorsement of her party for re-election, along with a slate of candidates for City Council, Board of Education and other city offices.
The Republican Town Committee said that, “We are thrilled to make a special announcement regarding the endorsement of Mayor Erin Stewart for her re-election to a remarkable 6th term in office. Her dedication and commitment to our community have been exemplary, and we believe she is the ideal candidate to continue leading us towards a prosperous future.”
The Republican party organization endorsed candidates for Council, including Alden Russell and Sharon Beloin-Saavedra in Ward 1, Jerrell Hargraves and Lukasz Rulka in Ward 2, Jason Gibson in Ward 3, Robert Smedley and Michael Thompson in Ward 4 and Willy Pabon and Matthew Malinowski in Ward 5.
Anthony Kane, Homer White and Jose Rivera are the Republicans’ endorsed candidates for Board of Education, and Sheryl Mala and Maria Turczanik are their candidates for Board of Assessment Appeals.
For constable, the Republican Town Committee endorsed Alan Zaniewski, Sean Steele, Richard Moreno and Jamie Vaughan.
“We firmly believe that this diverse and talented group of individuals shares our vision for the betterment of our community,” the Republican Party said about the Republicans running on their party slate. “Each member brings unique strengths and perspectives to their respective positions, making them ideal choices to help shape the future of our city.”
