The New Britain Hunger Action Team is asking families to help with their research by completing an online survey.
The organization asks,
Please take 2 minutes to complete this survey about any food insecurity you may be facing. We are doing one last push with this survey in hopes of getting more parents to complete it. Up to date only 37.9% of parents have completed this survey. Can we hear from you, so that we can better serve you. The surveys is anonymous.

Some of the information sought on the survey includes, “if your school were to have a school food pantry, would you shop there?”, “Do you know where the local food pantries/mobile food trucks are located?” and, “If you have visited a local food pantry/ mobile food truck how was your experience?”
The Hunger Action Team says that,
The mission of the New Britain Hunger Action Team is to develop and implement local solutions to empower our neighbors to be food secure. According to estimates from Feeding America, more than 380,000 (1 in 10) Connecticut residents struggle with hunger; more than 83,000 children are food insecure.
