CCSU Take Back the Night March Planned
The CCSU Ruthe Boyea Women’s Center has announced, “its annual Take Back the Night event and march on Tuesday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at Semesters in the Student Center.”
“Take Back the Night,” organizers say, “aims to end sexual violence in all forms, including sexual assault, sexual abuse, trafficking, stalking, gender harassment, and relationship violence, and to support survivors in their healing journeys. Take Back the Night is the oldest worldwide movement to stand against sexual violence.”
CCSU says that,
Every year, Central comes together as a campus community to highlight and bring awareness on the impact of sexual violence on a college campus while providing support to victims and survivors of sexual violence. Guest speakers from the campus community—including President Zulma R. Toro—and off campus community will offer words of support and encouragement to those who have been victimized.
“Parking will be available in the Student Center parking lot and Welte garage,” CCSU says.
