Training and Motivation Center Hosting Sneaker Day Party to Benefit Back to School Event
The Training and Motivation Center (TMC) is hosting its First Annual Sneaker Day Party to benefit its well-known annual Back to School event. The nonprofit TMC says that they are, “bringing the entire community together this summer with their inaugural Sneaker Day Party.”
“I’ve been wanting to do a Sneaker Party event like this for some time now,” said TMC Board Member and co-founder Tim Conaway. “We encourage families and friends to come out and just have some fun. Listen to good music from a local DJ – DJ MDot and DJ Token – enjoy dancing, sneaker culture, food and drink, and have a chance to win some very cool prizes.”
The event is to be Sunday July 21, 2024 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at Five Churches Brewing at 193 Arch Street.
TMC supporter Maciah Clark, Owner of Un•Known Clothing Boutique and CT Sneaker Supply are Leading Sponsors of the first-ever Sneaker Day Party, and TMC is offering special thanks to event hosts 5 Churches Brewing.
Conaway says that, “TMC is excited to once again partner with these great businesses and organizations who are dedicated to supporting New Britain youth and families.”
Event organizers say that,
Party attendees will be able to enter a Sneaker Contest for the chance to win a number of prizes, including a Travis Scott Fortnite set, Yeezy Slides, Virgil Abloh ICONS, and more. Tickets are on sale now for $25 and can be purchased online at TMC’s website or at the door on the day of the event. Ticket price includes (1) pizza and (1) drink.
The event flyer refers to Venmo @trainingandmotivation.
Organizers also say that donations and raffle baskets from local businesses are being accepted to support the event, adding, “Anyone interested in donating or sponsoring the event, please reach out to Tim Conaway at (860) 518 – 5468 or email TMC at [email protected] for sponsorship opportunities.”
TMC Board Member Meaghan Gorman says, “We also want to let folks know – all footwear is welcome! The only requirement is to have fun!”
The Training and Motivation Center (TMC) says that it,
was initially founded in 2012 by cousins Torrence Conaway and Tim Conaway and has grown exponentially ever since. TMC is now a 501c3 community-based non-profit that strives to make a difference for young men by facilitating educational, engaging events and programs that promote financial literacy, entrepreneurialism, mentorship, and civic responsibility.
