The New Britain Racial Justice Coalition (NBRJC) is, once again, hosting its annual Back-to-School Giveaway.
“We’re dedicated to supporting our community’s youth and ensuring every student starts the school year with the tools they need to succeed,” the Coalition says.
The 4th annual events are to be held at Mount Pleasant, on August 10, 2024 and Willow Street Park, on August 24th. Both events are to be from 12:00pm to 2:00pm. The event on August 10th is for Mount Pleasant residents only.
“To make this event a success, we need your help! We are currently accepting donations of School supplies (notebooks, pencils, pens, crayons, backpacks, etc.,” the Coalition says, as well as,”Monetary contributions (to purchase additional supplies and support our programs).”
The Coalition says, “Email [email protected] for donation pick-up/drop off.”
“Every donation, no matter how small, makes a big difference in the lives of our students,” the Coalition adds. “Let’s come together to create a brighter future for our kids and our community!”
The Coalition said that the events will occur, “First come, first serve, while supplies last,” adding that the, “Child must be present.”
