The band, Locomotion will play for guests at the June 2019 edition of the New Britain Museum of American Art‘s popular First Friday event.
Calling First Friday, “New Britain’s Best Happy Hour,” the Museum says that
This month’s feature act, Locomotion, will get you on the dance floor with a full horn section, tight rhythm, and two lead singers delivering a wide range of Motown, funk, rock, dance, disco, and rhythm and blues.
First Friday is on Friday, June 7, 2019 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm at the Museum.
In addition to music, drinks and good company, the Museum invites guests to. “Explore our collection with other art lovers in a tour guided by one of the Museum’s knowledgeable docents at 6 p.m.”
Or, the Museum says, “Relax into a sketching session with a costumed, live model where you will sharpen your skills through capturing the human figure and drapery. Bring your own materials; graphite and pencil only pleas.”
Adult admission to the event is $7 for Museum members and $12 for non-members. Tickets for the event are available online. Drinks are available at the cash bar for $4 to $8.
